1. I have been diagnosed with “Thoracic Outlet Syndrome”, what can chiropractic do for me?
The causes of this condition may be an extra cervical rib, poor posture, trauma, or a repetitive activity that is restricting or blocking nerves and blood vessels down to the fingers. One can experience tingling or numbness, aches, weakening grip or difficulty with fine motor tasks, bluish discoloration of the hand, swelling, coldness, or puffiness in the arm or hand, and deep pain in the neck region.
Treatment would be that of manipulation, heat therapy, home stretching, exercises, and soft-tissue therapy.
2. What condition do I have to worry about the most in the future?
Years ago we had good health and practically no worry about degenerative disease, heart disease, or cancer. Many of my aunts and uncles passed away of old age. Now due to many
Factors, it is estimated that cancer will kill more people worldwide than heart disease in 2010 according to the World Health Organization. Rising tobacco use and meat consumption in developing countries is believed to be an important reason for the shift, especially in China and India, where 40% of the world’s smokers live. Cancer diagnoses around the world have steadily risen and are expected to hit 12 million this year. Global cancer deaths are expected to reach 7 million.
The good news is there are proactive things you can do to not be one of the statistics. The most important act to due is keep your immune system strong, through nutrition and eat foods that are conducive to rebuilding your body to its peak performance. Through vitamins, minerals and enzymes the body had it’s own built in defense system and army.
